Epocrates, Inc., (Epocrates), is a provider of mobile drug reference tools to healthcare professionals and interactive services to the healthcare industry. As of December 31, 2010, the Company’s user network consisted of over 1.1 million healthcare professionals, including over 300,000, or more than 45% of United States physicians. Epocrates offers its products on all United States mobile platforms, including Apple (iPhone, iPod touch and, with respect to most of its products, iPad), Android, BlackBerry, Palm and Windows Mobile devices. As of December 31, 2010, the Epocrates panel included over 189,000 United States physicians. The Company operates in two segments: Subscriptions and Interactive Services and Electronic Health Records. On February 1, 2010, it acquired certain intangible assets of MedCafe Inc. On November 12, 2010, it acquired Modality, Inc.
