Bob,

My dream of a new midsize RWD auto with the 5.7L V8 seems closer to reality than ever.

Still hoping for the Monte, but would accept a slightly lower and sleeker 2 door Impala. The GTO mentioned previously still looks too short and squatty.

There are still rumors about bringing back the Camaro/Firebird, but I'm almost to old to crawl into and out of them.

Not quite, but the Monte/Impala fit me better. And the rear seats are usable for more than infants or coolers.
