ViewPoint Financial Group, Inc., formerly ViewPoint Financial Group, is a federally chartered stock holding company for ViewPoint Bank (the Bank). The principal business consists of attracting retail deposits from the general public and the business community and investing those funds, along with borrowed funds, in permanent loans secured by first and second mortgages on owner-occupied, one- to four-family residences and commercial real estate, as well as in secured and unsecured commercial non-mortgage and consumer loans. It also offers brokerage services for the purchase and sale of non-deposit investment and insurance products through a third party brokerage arrangement. The primary sources of funds are deposits, Federal Home Loan Bank (FHLB) advances and other borrowings, and payments received on loans and securities. It offers a range of deposit accounts, which provides a range of interest rates and terms, generally including savings, money market and term certificate.

Never, invest with money you need to survive. Diversify, patience, set tight stops. $20 or less in commission fees is almost always cheaper than a 5-40%+ drop in share value.
