My friend TVIX or any other ETF/ETN is for short term trading only.. the only time you may wanna hold/trade any perticular etf is when for example if it's a bull market and you think the market will be going north for long period of time then you may wanna consider buying/holding/trading BULL ETF's.. The opposite is true too, in a bear market buy/hold/trade BEAR ETF;s

it's kind of treaky to trade em, but once you know what to do they kind of become a money printing machine. The beauty of etfs that they're not stocks and have nothing to do with supply/demand. They move due to underlying sector...
