Jimmytown, Wow you definately picked the wrong person to debate the Car app.

I sell Hyundai's and let me tell you a little bit about blue link. We sold 68 New cars last month of which 32 had blue link. There are 3 parts to it. the first part is similar to Onstar that if you get into a crash it will automatically contact emergency help. Free for 6 months, 2nd part is esentials, that will let you give them an e-mail address or phone to let you know of updates and also to unlock the doors, get updates on your car and also geo-fence your kids and get texts to your e-mail or your phone. the third is a navagation package that will come on the screen with arrows or if you have the navagation package which is 2,800.00 it will give you turn by turn directions.

Hyundai called us and was upset because out of the 32 cars only two were registered with Hyundai.

Biggest complaint is that customers do not want to supply hyundai with e-mail information, cell phones numbers and give a credit card and keep it on file. Most customers are not concerned about there driving it is there kids that are not driving there new cars.

They would much rather just down load it on their kids phone and also their phone. Also it costs 2,800 for the nav package on the car and hyundai will be illiminating it soon because when it breaks it cost Hyndai 3,500.00 to fix.

So not not working out well at all.
