If you 'really' want to know what this whole "Nanotechnology" thing is all about , as well as its challenges, implications, accomplishments & goals , you might want to take the time to read this 'very' thorough explanation (in the form of a 'roadmap') of all the who, why, when, what & wheres of this unstopable up-&-coming host of inter-related sciences. All this, in one very well composed pdf...semi-technical here & there but generally geared toward the layman for the most-part. This NanoNextNL pdf is the 'roadmap' for a collaborative group of more than 100 likeminded companies & universities from the Netherlands, involved in Nanotech....incl Micronit, FlowId & Future Chemistry. In reading thru this composition I can not only see where our TQD's fill the bill but our links to solar, flow-chemistry, lab-on-a-chip, printed electronics & micro-fluidics almost make our existence an absolute necessity. As a prime example & among many other interesting highlights , pgs 28 & 29 look like something that could be titled; "QMC/NanoAxis".
