AUSTIN, TX--(Marketwire -02/23/12)- Building Turbines, Inc. (Pinksheets: BLDW.PK - News), a designer and manufacturer of commercial rooftop wind turbine systems and other renewable energy technologies, today announced it has entered into negotiations with South Plains College (SPC) for a wind turbine installation at the Reese Technology Center in Lubbock, Texas.

As part of the agreement, Building Turbines will install a wind turbine unit at the Reese Technology Center, and the turbine unit itself will be used by SPC to further their green technology study curriculum. The company believes this will greatly enhance its ability to secure future contracts as well as to cement contracts already in its pipeline.

John F. Graham, Sr., Building Turbines' CEO, elaborated, "Lubbock, Texas is a windy environment and it helps us to have well-trained technicians educating themselves on our turbines. These are the future installers and maintainers of our equipment for our customers and for certification agencies. We have contracts in place at present, which we believe we can expand by a significant multiple, once our outputs are certified and standardized. We are especially pleased that South Plains College is considering the Building Turbines wind turbine system for their studies and look forward to working with them. What we are accomplishing here is the sharing of our technology and gaining valuable insight from another very high-caliber institution, as we are also working with The University of Texas. I anticipate our working with SPC will greatly accelerate the installation and sales of our turbines."

Greg Miller, Chief of New Business Development, added, "We are proud to synergize with all institutes of higher education retraining American's workforce in the burgeoning wind industry. This is one more example of our commitment to promoting American ingenuity while continuing to refine our product."
