I agree with other posters here that from the onset Kim should have stated that the initial CC was pending an insertion.
I think the way he handled explaining it and making another PR about it was done well. You can only hope for everything to go perfectly with a company or CEO. When something does eventually go wrong the way a company or CEO turns a bad thing around speaks volumes.
