Gary, An interesting find. "BRE" is another company involved with FASC that we hadn't heard about:

BRE research, sludge and paper houses


Research by BRE has found that papermill sludge waste can be converted into building materials such as hybrid MDF and cement bonded sludge board, all of which meet fibreboard and cement bonded particle board specifications. BRE are currently seeking manufacturers and contractors who would be interested in the project.
