HD looks real bad

I went to Home Depot tonight 1 day before end of quarter.

I saw some Christmas holly trees in garden dept and went to ask store manager for a 50% for all 6 of them. The guy in front of me was just finished successfully negotiating a 60% off discount on a pair of $850 magahony doors with stained glass that were a little dusty.
I asked assistant manager why the heavy discounting. He said he was told that they were going to report 2 cents short for the quarter. What honesty. He made a joke about stock dropping 5 points and joining the unemployment lines soon. He looked quite sincere about whole thing.

So if you got big home purchase coming up make your best pitch tomorrow and you will probably will get it.
