According to RigZone, there are 3 drillships in Nigerian waters.
PS, West Capella and GFS Jack Ryan. Both PS and WC are working USAN. JR is at AKPO. Both FPSO's have their Marine Traffic transmitters off (pirates?).It appears that both of these fields are just about at the limit of Marine Traffic receivers. They come and go with atmospheric conditions (usually better at night).
Jascon 30 is a USAN pipe layer. When USAN drilling is complete, what about 2 of the drillers going to JDZ1 at the same time? All three have the capability. Time will tell, but we may just see them disappear off Marine Traffic as JDZ1 is probably out of range.
ToTal has 4 capable drillers in Angola but there is no Marine Traffic receivers anywhere near there. So if a new one shows up near JDZ1 it may be one from Nigeria and one from Angola.
ENSCO DS-1, ENSCO DS-2, Siapem 12000 and West Gemini are off Angola.
Just speculating.
