Vicor Corporation (Vicor) design, develop, manufacture and market modular power components and complete power systems based upon a portfolio of patented technologies. The Company has organized its business segments according to its key product lines, such as its Brick Business Unit (BBU); its V*I Chip Business Unit (V*I Chip), and its Picor Business Unit (Picor). The Company sells its products primarily to customers in the higher-performance, higher-power segments of the power systems market, including aerospace and defense electronics, enterprise and high performance computing, industrial equipment and automation, telecommunications and network infrastructure, and vehicles and transportation through a network of independent sales representative organizations in North and South America and, internationally, through independent distributors. During the year ended December 31, 2010, the Company introduced two new power converter products, the PFMtm and the DCMtm.
