twilko, please define "good person"

Many would say Ribotsky is a "good person". Look at all the charities he gave to. I bet those folks think he's a saint.
The same can be said for Bernie Madoff. Another "good person" in many folks eyes.
Saying you belive John Whitney is a "good person" does not excuse his acts of fraud. Maybe he is a "good person". O.K., he's a "good person" who committed fraud then and screwed over many many people for his own personal benefit....just like Ribotsky and Madoff. He's in their same league.

John was tempted to deceive and he bit. That's not a "good person" in my opinion, but I guess you have lower standards.
