Diabetes treatments - anyone know of drugs entering the clinic with entirely new methods of action? The only two I can list are:
1) SGLT-2 inhibitors
2) Oxyntomodulin analog drug - but the leading version appears to be on hold (or cancelled) due to side effects (nausea and ???). (It was a drug Pfizer picked up from Wyeth). Dual GLP-1 and Glucagon agonists have spectacular and fascinating results in mice (boosting metabolism by about 50% while simultaneously lowering hunger resulting in really dramatic results across the board).
