PolyOne Corporation (PolyOne) is a provider of specialized polymer materials, services and solutions with operations in thermoplastic compounds, specialty polymer formulations, color and additive systems, thermoplastic resin distribution and specialty polyvinyl chloride (PVC) resins. The Company operates in five segments: Global Specialty Engineered Materials; Global Color, Additives and Inks; Performance Products and Solutions; PolyOne Distribution, and SunBelt Joint Venture. As of December 31, 2010, the Company had 50% interest in SunBelt Chlor-Alkali Partnership (SunBelt), a manufacturer of caustic soda and chlorine. In February 2011, the Company sold its 50% ownership interest in SunBelt Chlor Alkali Partnership to Olin Corporation. On January 3, 2011, it acquired Uniplen Industria de Polimeros Ltda. (Uniplen). On October 1, 2010, the Company acquired Polimaster Industria E Comercio de Pigmentos Platicos LTDA (Polimaster). In December 2011, it acquired ColorMatrix Group, Inc.
