As with all things in this world...guidelines are set, someone takes advantage or goes overboard, then rules are set and enforced.

Yes, the previous standard was that "whatever happened on general trading boards - not something Admin was concerned with as long as it remained on that board".

When it became apparent that there were posting battles going on between boards for manipulation to get on the home page, then we still tried to let it flow and stay out of it as much as possible.

It then became absolutely apparent that people were being paid to post excessively, that automation was set up, that there were private contests (seriously!) about posting stats, and all sorts of manipulation for the end result to have the board on the home page.

This is the policy that was devised in the last week or so:

Bottom line going forward - we don't care in the slightest how much you want to post on your board (or any other general stock trading board for that matter). If anyone is going to script or manually post more than 1 post every 30 seconds, that's fine. We just need to disable hot list/homepage inclusion.
