State Auto Financial Corporation (State Auto Financial), is a property and casualty insurance holding company. The Company is primarily engaged in writing both personal and business lines of insurance. State Auto Financial’s subsidiaries include State Auto P&C, Milbank, Farmers and SA Ohio each of which is a property and casualty insurance company, and Stateco, which provides investment management services to affiliated insurance companies. State Auto Financial’s parent company is State Auto Mutual, a mutual property and casualty insurance company. It owns approximately 63% of State Auto Financial. The Company operates in three business segments: personal insurance, business insurance (the insurance segments), and investment operations. On December 31, 2010, the Company completed the sale of its non-standard automobile insurance subsidiary, State Auto National Insurance Company, to Hallmark Insurance Company of Fort Worth, Texas.
