Insulet Corporation is a medical device company that develops, manufactures and markets an insulin infusion system for people with insulin-dependent diabetes. The Company’s OmniPod Insulin Management System (OmniPod System), which consists of its OmniPod disposable insulin infusion device and its handheld, wireless Personal Diabetes Manager, is an insulin infusion system of its kind. The OmniPod System features only two discreet devices that eliminate the need for a bulky pump, tubing and separate blood glucose meter, provide for virtually pain-free automated cannula insertion, communicate wirelessly and integrate a blood glucose meter. In January 2010, the Company entered into a distribution agreement with Ypsomed Distribution AG (Ypsomed), to become distributor of the OmniPod System in 11 countries. In June 2011, the Company acquired Neighborhood Diabetes, Inc.
