A couple of months ago I indeed went to the office. 10:30am on a Tuesday. Parked my car in the parking lot. Walked into the building and went to Suite 130. It's on the first floor. If you walk in the front door go straight through the lobby and it's the first suite down the north hallway. You can see the EI office door from the front door of the building.
The door was locked, the blinds were all closed. I could see one light on through the strings in the blinds. It looked more like the service light than any workstation light. If I had to make a conclusion from what I saw I would say the company was not in operation. They surely weren't open for 'business' as most businesses in that type of setting would be.
I even hung out in the lobby to see if anyone came or went. Asked a few people that were passing through if they ever see anyone come or go from the office. All the answers were no. Seemed like I was spooking the folks so I left.
My conclusion to the experience. They either were no longer in operation there, OR what operation they were running did not require that type of suite. Another glaring example of living the lifestyle of the Rich and Famous on the back of the shareholders.
That suite is considered Prime Orchard Lake corridor. They don't need to spent $4600 month on Main road frontage. They can run a locked door operation from much less. The last building I rented in the area was during the r/e peak, $900 month. It was brand new, had 3 big offices, 12 ft overhead door and 1500 sq ft of warehouse.
