A statement from the company with no supporting evidence does not instill confidence in investors and make them open their pocket books. Cold hard facts that are supported do. I.e. they could have reported the actual numerical data to support their claim that a web presence was needed...surely they researched this or had some figures of their own to back up this need, including that in the PR would have given the claim and need for the web presence more respectability. Like I said, what was the point?
Now, had they PR'd the website AFTER it was online...that would have made sense. It's only a web site, nothing ground breaking there. To be honest I am surprised there wasn't a web presence already, it is pretty much standard for any business.
And as far as the stock price is concerned, I think that is the least of what is confusing investors. In fact the current stock price is what has brought many of the current posters (investors/traders) here to date, including myself.
