I read about this quite a few times, I never did a study to verify it, but those tied in with muscletech mentioned this; of course, with big money comes corruption and skewing of the facts so who knows for sure. But in either case, I play it safe. I got amazing results from GNC creatine and dextrose with BCAA's. That worked great. I mixed 30 minutes before working out and no problems. On the flip, I personally would rather drink real fruit juice wihtout added sugar for a little antioxidant benefit rather than corn sugar but to each his own.
