Maybe i am jumping ahead but, in 5-10 years i feel this will be a well versed practice, for people using PHRs. But, i feel it growing sooner than then.

Applications like EMR, EHR, and CPOE, as well as imaging applications like PACS and RIS are used by both clinicians and larger healthcare providers to offer improved patient care. The global applications market for healthcare IT is expected to be worth $53.8 billion by 2014, growing at a CAGR of 16.1% from 2009 to 2014.

The North American applications market for healthcare IT is expected to reach $36 billion by 2014 at a CAGR of 17.6%, followed by the European market, which is expected to reach to $11.6 billion by 2014 at a CAGR of 15.9%.

From what DD i have seen, it looks to me that the PHRs and health care IT is starting to catch more appeal worldwide. Wait, didn't Bob apply for patents in foreign countries? Ya, that's right!
He does see the bigger picture! Now i know some here love to just fill their posts with personal attack towards CEOs but, i'd like to see more information on the industry and company rather than charecter assination.
