Just checked-in on the DC Office progress. There are 5 people working there full-time. The focus of this office is to secure portions of the 4 Billion dollars the Federal Government has arranged for energy efficiency in buildings across the country.

The $4 Billion is just a starting point, NOT the end point of the retrofit the government is talking about. They plan on getting ALL buildings retrofitted as soon as possible to create as many "green" jobs as possible. This could lead into the Trillions over the next few years, and it will create a LOT of jobs.

This includes LED Lighting, both inside buildings and outside street lighting. It also includes military bases (both interior and exterior).

SavWatt is now in the process of securing a piece of the first $4 Billion in funding for this retrofit, and it will continue to secure its share of the additional federal funding over the next years.
