Detroit Tigers Announce Launch of Enhanced Ticketing and New Season Ticket Holder Program With Ticketmaster
Electronic Ticketing, Ticket Forwarding and Aftermarket TeamExchange Designed to Enrich Fan Experience

DETROIT, July 18 /PRNewswire/ -- The Detroit Tigers and Ticketmaster, the world's leading ticketing company, today announced the launch of state-of-the-art ticketing technology designed to add a new level of convenience and value to the season subscriber experience. The Tigers are introducing fans to its new branded TeamExchange online marketplace enabling Tigers' full season ticket holders to sell tickets they are unable to use to other fans in a safe, secure, and team sanctioned online environment located at www.detroittigers.com.

Fans who purchase Tigers tickets through TeamExchange will receive their event tickets (complete with a new and unique barcode for entry) via email through Ticketmaster's ticketFast online delivery system.
Tickets purchased through TeamExchange will arrive as a PDF file, which the recipient can download for printing. The season ticket holder's original tickets will be cancelled and invalidated and the Tigers will credit the season ticket holder's account. Utilizing Ticketmaster's TeamExchange product, the Tigers are providing fans with an authenticated electronic transaction between season ticket holders and baseball fans interested in purchasing tickets located in stadium seating sections where they otherwise would not have access.

"We are completely dedicated to improving the quality of service here at Comerica Park," said Duane McLean, Detroit Tigers Senior Vice President of Sales. "TeamExchange adds a whole new value to our season subscription packages as well as a greater purchase opportunity for the single game ticket buyers. Ticketmaster's AccountManager product has already proven to deliver value, quality and service by enabling our season patrons to manage their ticket inventories and season ticket accounts entirely online. Now, with TeamExchange, we're taking customer service to an entirely new level by introducing an authorized aftermarket in which season ticket holders can resell any tickets that they are unable to use."

As part of the agreement, the Tigers will continue to utilize Ticketmaster's state-of-the-art ticketing platform as well as the Ticket Forwarding function of AccountManager. Using Ticket Forwarding, season ticket holders can maximize use of their tickets by forwarding tickets they are unable to use to family, friends or clients electronically -- even at the last minute. Once the tickets have been forwarded through email, the recipient simply downloads and prints the tickets using Ticketmaster's ticketFast technology.

Ticketmaster will continue to sell Tigers single game tickets and handle Tigers season ticketing services. Tigers tickets are available online at mlb.com, detroittigers.com, charge-by-phone at 248-25-TIGER and at Ticketmaster retail ticket locations throughout Michigan including: Marshall Fields, FYE stores and D & W stores (Grand Rapids area).

"With the launch of the Tigers TeamExchange, the Tigers baseball club is among the teams leading the future of event ticketing and customer service satisfaction," said Bob Garsh, General Manager, Ticketmaster Detroit. "Our completely automated secondary market ticketing system will help the Tigers provide a higher level of fan satisfaction, giving season ticket holders unparalleled access and control of their tickets, along with the freedom to make the most of their season ticket investment."
