re-affirm might be the wrong word, since Rock-Tenn never affirmed in the first place, choosing the "no comment" route.

As for why, it's simple, just like companies, spouses, and any concerned party does when a valued partner is accused of wrong doing, those who believe the partner is innocent usually publicly state so. At the very least, you'd think either JBI or Rock-Tenn would simply say, "JBI is moving forward with the construction of its first Rock Tenn processor site and expected to be operational by xxx". That provides no information that anyone can use to upset the plans, but merely indicates that the SEC suit has not put the Rock-Tenn plans on hold.
Rock-Tenn does not actually have a 10 year contract with JBI. They have a master agreement which requires nothing of Rock Tenn until JBI has a working processor on a Rock-Tenn site, and then, the 10-year period covers only the JBI processor on that specific site.

Surely JB realizes the inferences that will be drawn from Rock-Tenn's silence.
