Mission NewEnergy (NASDAQ: MNEL) Had a Sharp Rise in Fiscal 4Q2011 Revenues
Mission NewEnergy is a biodiesel producer and one of the world’s largest Jatropha plantation companies, operating in Asia, India, Australia, Europe and North America. Investors should note that for the fiscal 4Q2011, Mission NewEnergy reported a 440% increase in revenues to $11.1 million and a 96% decrease in net losses to $2.9 million. For the entire fiscal year, Mission NewEnergy reported a 3% revenue increase to $16.9 million and a net loss that fell 79% to $20.5 million. Mission NewEnergy ended the financial year with $15.8 million in cash and it was noted that sales to Europe for previous quarter has caused a sharp rise in revenue relative to last year. However and on Friday, Mission NewEnergy fell 15.71% to $2.63 (MNEL has a 52 week trading range of $0.16 to $9.04 a share) on no apparent news.
