I doubt Arafat has exterminated any Jews. The guy is completely incompetent. He is a corrupt politician, and as such has only his own interests at heart. If Arafat were truly an effective leader of Al Fatah, don't you think he would have met with an "accident" by now. Look what happened to Abu Jihad and Abu Iyad. No, he is one of Israel's best weapons against the terrorists. He probably knows less about the activities of Palestinian terrorists than Mossad. Be realistic - if you were a Hamas or Hezbollah leader would you dare let Arafat know of your plans ? (I realize they are competing organizations.)

No, Arafat is allowed to stand because Israel wants it that way. They want a clown - a buffoon - to be seen as the leader of the Palestian people. That's why Israel's verbal attacks are always against Arafat - to make him appear to be their enemy - when in fact he is an asset.
