Yeah so if I read this correctly the competition in the prez race is designed to:

1. Make candidates stronger by focusing on whats important and getting the message across

2. Show the public is fed up with cheating and callous behavior towards jobs, life, health and such

3. Vet out through controversy all of the materials to better get to know the candidates track records and how they will create positive change as president

4. Some of it is just to say HEY I may not be Joe Megabucks lottery winner CEO but my contributions are not chopped liver cause we know how much the public liked our "shtuff".

5. More openness prevents situations that are wrong and nasty like that in Syria and wrongheaded nations.

6. None of this is designed to create more tensions in the world for that is the opposite of most peoples world peace and prosperity protocol.
