Empanadas are not new to the US, you can get them at any Spanish bodega, restaurant, or Shoprite, Pathmark, or any other supermarket etc. Let alone make them yourself, they are really the easiest appetizers to make. I just had fresh homemade chicken empanadas for lunch with picante from a spot around my way. I just hope Cono's empanadas are tasty, because most Spanish people don't buy frozen Spanish food, they are more traditional to make them, especially it takes no time to make a ton of them in your kitchen. You can ask any spanish person about making empanadas and they will tell you the same, I bet ya!
