STP News: President Pinto da Costa has appointed US nat'l Jan Hartman to an unpaid post as a presidential advisor – Tela Non reports.

NOTE: A former US diplomat, Hartman has served as the country representative for Columbia U's Earth Institute in STP for several years. One of the Institute's recent projects has been to help the govt draft oil and transparency legislation.

As I recall, back in 2006-2007 when ERHC's JDZ awards were still involved in controversy locally there were many posts here suggesting that Soros, through links to the Earth Inst, may have been involved in the STP parliament's asking the attorney-general to open an investigation into the awards process.
