Filing the required forms for the patent change should be a simple process, but this management makes everything a complex task. All of this should have been figured out during the five months it took them to complete the settlement and then filed the day it was feasible. There is no reason the status quo order would have effected the USPTO filing when it didn't affect the filing in the state court dismissing the case.
