Email I received from smarthome.com

I had emailed smarthome about the secureview that was in stock. I had my doubts about it. Here is the email I sent & the response I received:

I am interested in Item 7528 secureview camera, I have wanted one for some time. Is it available to ship ? What is the delivery time on this order, I had tried to order one from another site and was told it was a minimum of 8 week delivery, I will order one If I am guaranteed 48 hour delivery, Please e-mail me the delivery time!

Thanks

We have 2 models of the 7528, the 7528 for indoors(in stock and ready to go), or the 7528A which is for outdoor use,it won't be ready until after May 8th. the delivery time depends on where you live. the longest time would be to the east coast at 5 days. If you have more questions, please write to us again.

Longs I am sure this pleases you? I wanted to post it to not only let all of you know I am objective, it would be real easy not to bring this up.

The problem I have when you call the 800 number from the SEVU website the company still says it is an 6-8 week delivery? (as of call last night), I am a little skeptical why this is as well as why if SEVU has this huge backlog of orders, 9 million dollars, why is smarthome have units and the back orders & the SEVU website does not? Smarthome obviously has in stock indoor units that are sitting there and SEVU claims to have tons of backorders?

Another problem is the outdoor units not in until May 8th? I thought the PR said units were in production, 5000 each of both types? Something is not right about the PR or backorders IMO?

I hope the 10k sheds some light on the true workings at SEVU, IMO it is going to be a clean & clear look at year 2000, I am sure SEVU will not risk cooking this report, after the 8k the SEC is going to watching this filing very very closely.

Happy Posting!
