I am hoping that Judge Amy isn't one for BS either hestheman.

My question is why the delay? It would seem that if the government agents had done their job properly, they would be proud to show the papers they are now hiding. Could it be that they screwed this deal up so bad that their butts are in the soup if they settle and really in the soup if this case goes to trial. And by really "in the soup", I mean possibly done something that is so hidiously incompetent, hidiously illegal, or maybe even hidiously both that they will at best be fired and at worst go to jail.
