It's very difficult for me to hold "her" responsible .. isn't it up to us to find out what is good for us ? .. I mean .. . I've heard more about 'low calorie diets' & 'sugar is bad for you' than I have ever heard about Paula Deen ... hasn't everyone ? ... however, I am hearing that you and everyone else that I am reading (or glancing at ) are directly holding her responsible for their poor eating habits ... or 'not knowing' .. . I guess she must be taken to court like a sub-prime lender or something .. .. ;) ..JK...as the things I have read are, to me, OVER the top! .. now look ......I have seen maybe one article on her and her recipes in my whole life .. I think it was in the NYT .. not sure it wasn't recent .. but I remember how they had sumptuous looking 'high fat food' ... looking really really good and .. seems to me that stuff was 'easy to make' ......;) ..from what you say .. I guess people were just unsuspecting and have missed all the information that there has been on 'foods and healthy eating' for the past twenty some years .. for that I do feel sorry ... ..forgive me for having such a difficult blaming her .. maybe it's just that, me personally, has read and seen so much and HEARD so much from my family about 'healthy eating' .. that I thought 'most' everyone did .... and I didn't really think that the 'uniformed' were her MAIN life sustaining (for her ) buyers of her books etc... maybe she was on tv too .. swear I don't know ... IF this hadn't happened I wouldn't even know who she was ... saw one article in my life promptly forgot her .. and then .... NOW.
