Bobs, When you take into consideration all the advantages INTC had over AMD at the start of that period the current comparison begs credulity.

Five years ago, Intel was struggling with Coppermine, Rambus, MTH, and the 1.13 GHz fiasco. They were pretty much the laughing stock of the semi industry, while AMD was flying high with Athlon and an all-time high of a stock price. And the AMDroids were having a ball.

Now you are pretending that Intel had "all the advantages" five years ago? I think it's your analogy that "begs credulity."
