Whether you call it manipulation or not, one thing the MM's are doing that does significantly affect the trading,IMHO,is not posting any AON bids or asks on Level 2 for KBLB.

People should be aware that the highest bid showing on Level 2 is not necessarily the real highest bid and the lowest ask showing is not necessarily the real lowest ask.

Until they change their current policy (IF they do) AON bids and asks are not posted on Level 2 for KBLB.*1

That means that there are usually invisible bids and asks and the spread appears to be considerably larger than it actually is.

A bigger spread, whether real or "virtual" (due to invisible bids and asks) increases profits for the MM.

People might want to consider, when deciding whether to try flipping shares and trading in and out, whether they want to compete at that level with people who have access to much better information than they do! The difficulty caused by not being able to see all of the bids and asks is far higher exactly when it's the most important!: when the trading is at a possible inflexion point and immediately after one has occurred.

*1 my source for the above information is a 2nd level supervisor at TDAmeritrade who checked out for me why my bids consistently failed to show on Level 2 for KBLB.
