What you state is technically 100% correct.

However,

"Splits do have temporary effects of the SP but that is because of what is perceived to have prompted the split rather than the split itself."

this statement is also correct, but unfortunately "perception is often reality".
I currently hold a biotech and jr. Au exploration stock that have recently undergone RS's. If you research the history of reverse splits, the evidence strongly indicates that the net effect (even long-term) is generally negative for the shareholders, but most of these equities are not in the same "uniquely strong position" that KBLB enjoys.

Just wanted to mention this.
