Sorry for the delay, but lately I only check messages a few times a day.
Dominican Today is not a regular newspaper but an online news service,
started by an Israeli citizen who died at an early age of 59. He was the
Dominican Pioneer for the country's English speaking internet, Web
Services.
Dominican Today for the most part concentrates on the tourist and
English speaking residents of the Republic, while reporting national
and international news on it's site,
Regarding the question on the link, I have always stated to please read
what I have posted and not what you may assume I have. Sometimes a
Dictionary comes in handy if the definition of a word is not understood.
I stated, " Check further as there is a link to placing the news you want posted ",
I did not say that I had included a link in my post.
In other words when you go to the DomincanToday site if you check further
you will see at the bottom of the first online page the word ADVERTISING.
Hit on the word and you will be taking to a page where examples of the
different types of advertising is available to the general public and businesses.
From there most businesses, Hotels, Casinos, etc. advertise and at times
receive preferences in their posting a particular article. they usually
do a complete verbatim account. At times due to a lack of space, a press report
may be shortened or abbreviated thus giving a different meaning to the
intentions of the original article.
That is why a few months back, I posted on this site, the complaint I had
made to the DominicanToday as they had shortened an article by the
Dominican newspaper EL NACIONAL concerning boxing matches ( Joan Guzman)
that were to take place and by doing so distorted the report that the EL NACIONAL
Sports Editor had written concerning the event.
