This is true. On the other hand, having a proprietary "Spyder"(not a free existing one) may be tailored to Atrinsic's existing already in use services. This could be a better integration into there existing systems, where as relying on outside free services and trying to wrap ATRN service around that could cause problems or results they are not looking for. This new spyder very well could bring in other info that is not out there already, who knows.

This is just a thought and IMO of course.
