Taxpayers money as usual is with a fork in it. Question is who decides how and when it's bitten.
Modern(questionable as greed has always been inherent to human nature)politics is just a show where legislation is used to turn what main street expects(or likes to hear) 180 degrees around when lobby money is allowed to overrule taxpayer money. Proof lies in conflicts of interest in general. Big can't necessarily outweigh schemes from an underdog.
So who's to blame? Politicians/policymakers or the rich with their lobbies? Where does that leave citizens and their tax money? Such shortsightedness is now starting to catch up with these dumb bells as witnessed in the example of this GPS nightmare
