What in the world does that mean with respect to AGEL shares?
... pursuant to the previously announced Agreement and Plan of Merger, dated as of October 3, 2011, by and among C&D and certain affiliates of Angelo, Gordon & Co., Angel Acquisition Corp. was merged with and into C&D, with C&D continuing as the surviving corporation. As a result of the merger, each share of C&D common stock not owned by Angelo, Gordon & Co. or its affiliates was cancelled and automatically converted into the right to receive $9.75 in cash
AGEL merged into C&D (but at what ratio of AGEL stock to C&D stock?), with each of our resulting C&D shares' being equal to $9.75. So, I had 20m AGEL shares, multiplied by some factor (or more accurately, divided by some factor), then multiplied by $9.75.
But what is the factor?
I am an amateur at this, and it would be unwise to rely on my opinions without your own independent confirmation in consultation with an investment professional.
