There could be a lot of margin selling and/or buying in when the stock opens up, depending on how it trades when it does open up. I'd have to think that there are a ton more shares held long than is in the O/S total, and perhaps an equally large short position. The thing is, I'd think that bulk of the short position would be hedge funds, with a lot of bagholder longs created thus I'd think if there was any imbalance of trades because of margin calls, I'd think it would be selling. My logic could be faulty though and I'd appreciate anyone's analysis of that idea.
