There certainly are a lot of people on SI who don't seem to miss you at all. And, you can massage your POV any way you want, the MDC situation speaks for itself. It was a poorly thought out kludge, with pizz-poor management support given to all of the folks who signed up - especially as it relates to an "...official welcome.." for them by iHub.
The truth of the matter is that you and Matt decided you wanted to bump up your membership roles, so you could concurrently jack up your display and banner-ad rates to iHub's clients based on more head-count. Altruism is a beautiful thing, but let's not be wrapping ourselves in it in an attempt to disguise the commercial pupose of the MDC. RavingBullschmidt did the roughly same thing to get going - they simply allowed computer-generated, multiple MFMMM, Pro-pump-n-basher and monkeyaliases to swell their roles - until the word got around. Then olks like Verizon bailed on them when they found out they were paying through the nose for Casper-the-not-so-friendly-Ghost vaporposters.
Rather than purchase banner or normal media advertising on recognized venues like Amazon (...at commercial rates...) you and Matthew took perhaps 1/20th of that money and threw it on the table for a "...let our existing members do all the work for free..." contest. Now that it hasn't been the ROARING COMMERCIAL SUCCESS that you hoped for, you offer criticism and excuses to cover it up. Nothing is ever seems good enough for you, regardless of how little personal effort you put into it.
Credit where credit is due; iHub is nicely designed and well run as a stock disucssion site. The technology works dependably, which is a credit to your Pro-geekistic know-how. It's a great financial information exchange on the WWW, even though you are obviously forced (...against your will...) to tolerate people having interpersonal and semi-recreational discussions bordering on general commeraderie.
Poor me...?!? Ha ha ha ha ha..... As much as you might wish that - not too likely. And, should I receive some pittance from iHub, it will be immediately handed down to my crew and/or a local charity for "..goody.." acquisitions and efforts Pro Bono, etc. You see, the fun was in the good-spirited competition between Churak and me; the resulting chump change never had any meaningful significance.
Oh by the way...... Just like all the nicely designed and reasonably well suported stock discussion boards that the members have provided here on the HUb, "...you're welcome..." for all the new members.
Properly nutured they might some day measure up to your corporately snooty, oh-so-lofty, and arrogantly aloof expectations, aye...!!
