I attended a meeting late last year at the FAA offices on Long Island when the FAA certification team met with Baltia executives for a safety systems seminar. It was obvious to me that the FAA people had a high regard for the Baltia people, and there was no tension between them. So the scenario where the FAA just gives up and says "go home" is not credible to me.
