Just to add to this ... Received the following this evening from E*trade:
This is the second 'security' of late that I have had a DTC lock placed on and in both cases I sold them as soon as I became aware. I received a similar alert on the first one later in the day and my earlier sale still went through. E*trade told me that I received the alert due to the stock being in my account recently, I am assuming just an automated response.
All that just to say that in the past E*trade seemingly ignored these DTC issues (a least from what I have gathered) but of late are now stepping up their suspensions as well.
