Public Notice in Gisborne herald 27Dec2011: WAITANGI HILL 2D SEISMIC SURVEY Eastern Petroleum NZ Ltd (a subsidiary of TAG Oil NZ Ltd), the Operator of Petroleum Exploration Permit 38348 and Apache New Zealand Corporation LDC (herein after … >referred to as "Company Group") are planning to carry out a seismic survey known as the 2012 Waitangi Hill 2D Seismic Survey in the Te Karaka and Whatatutu Di...stricts. Helicopter supported drilling will take place from 8 to 31 January 2012 and Recording operations will take place from 15 February to 5 March 2012. The Waitangi Hill 2D Seismic Survey is being carried out for the purpose of gathering geological information. Activities involve laying seismic cables over farm land, across and beside roads, before the controlled detonation of charges within the project area. Traffic management procedures will be in place on local roads during this time, and it is kindly requested that drivers observe any signage and restrictions.
