Bull, I think his anger comes from his drinking days and never being successful until his dad and his friends helped him out when his dad was VP and President (not that his dad did not help him getting into Yale, Harvard "b" school, National Guard, fighter pilot, financing his first job. helping Arbusto, etc etc.) I think he has felt this anger because of his failures prior to turning forty. You carry those failures with you throughout your life no matter how successful you then become. I truly believe he has always tried to seek acceptance from his father, who was truly a war hero when he could have shirked his responsibilities.
