Do you mean to say that cheerleading a stock that you own as it heads up is a "pump"? If so, then every stock that is going up is "pumped", right? But that's not a "pump and dump".

The "pump and dump" is by definition a promotion where insiders accumulate shares, then pay for promotion to bring in traders so they can sell on the run-up. Or it is a paid promotion by the company so that they can sell (dump) more of their shares into the market.

Simply having a bunch of bottom traders buy a falling stock, then cheer when the chart turns up is hardly a "pump". It's just people being happy they they are making money by buying low and selling high.

All I'm saying is...I haven't seen a "pump" on ATRN. I've seen a lot of familiar faces talking about it, since it got a lot of attention for the very nature of the chart and the bounce play.
And sure, a lot of people sold for a profit on the bounce. Who wouldn't?

I am not a promoter or professional stock trader. I'm a regular guy who enjoys stock trading to make (or lose) a few dollars. I am only responsible for my own trading foibles, not yours...do your own DD.
