I have yet to get a definitive answer on that, my supposition is that you cannot alter the share structure unless you change the fiscal year.

That has been the big question for me and I have been trying to look it up, so I can learn.

I do know that a material event is to be reported publicly within 4 business days on an 8-K. A R/M could not have happened, then, at the moment of the 8-K in December or it would have needed to have been filed already.
