Quite possibly. That is the positive spin and one that the market seems to be buying now.
The negative spin is that the analyst has been very wrong so far, and why should he/she have better analysis now? IOW, many investors should do the opposite of the analysts' recommendations.
Personally, I have always been interested in what analysts say simply because some investors listen to them, but I think most here can do just as good (or better) as the analysts in guessing the future.
